Two individuals will be chosen to receive $1,000 scholarships in the spring of 2023 from the Kansas Seed Industry Association. Selection will be made by the KSIA Roberta Donahue Memorial Scholarship Committee and will be based on criteria established by the Association.
Students applying for a KSIA scholarship must be seeking a degree in Agronomy, Ag Education, Ag Econ/Business, Ag Communications, Grain/Milling Science, Ag Technology, Ag Farm Management or Horticulture. Students must be planning to attend a college or university in Kansas. Both high school seniors and current college students may apply. Beyond those requirements, the recipients will be chosen from information and recommendations provided on the scholarship applications.
Applications are due in the KSIA office by 5 p.m. April 1, 2023. Winners will be announced by May 1, 2023, so that they may be recognized at spring awards ceremonies and graduations. When possible, a representative from KSIA will be present to make the award. The scholarship recipients will be invited to the KSIA Summer Seed Seminar to be introduced to the KSIA membership.
